The best night out in Bassett

RWB Comedy Club is our town's very own comedy night at The Angel Hotel, featuring regular/professional acts from the Comedy Circuit in London and the South. Every few months, we will host a line up of established and newer comedy talent, including acts that have graced the stage of bigger venues like the world famous Comedy Store and have TV and radio credits to their names.

Our launch night in March 2023 at the Angel Hotel was a sell out show. To be sure of being on our mailing list for details of the next show, send us your email now (links at foot of this page)

Our upcoming show is

Thursday, March 7, 2024 in Angel Hotel. Doors open at 18:00:00, show starts at 19:30:00.

Here's what people have been saying about our sell-out show in March 2023

Great to see a sell-out last night. We said it was the best night we've had at The Angel.
Don't make us wait too long for the next one
Brilliant! We loved it.

Who is performing at the next gig?

Lee Hudson

Lee's brand of personal storytelling and self deprecation has seen his reputation grow across the UK comedy circuit and beyond. He has performed across the world and opened for stars such as Tom Stade and Dan Soder. He is also part of the Ian Edwards Soccer Comic Rant podcast on the All Things Comedy network.

Alexis Coward

Alexis is an actor and comedian with an interesting childhood that forms the basis for most of her comedy reflections. Sibling rivalry and weird parenting are a running theme in this instantly likeable performer.

Tim Biglowe

Tim is a rising star of the UK scene bringing gentle observations of snobbery and TV stardom from the perspective of someone living on a narrowboat.

Alan Francis

After winning the Channel 4 So you Think You're Funny Competition at the 1991 Edinburgh Festival, Alan has been a regular on the UK and International Comedy Circuit performing his stand-up act on TV a number of times. He has also appeared on telly as a comic performer. In Psychoville and Mid Morning Matters with Alan Partridge. He's been in Knowing Me Knowing Yule, Alistair McGowan's Big Impression, Ancona and Co, Alas Smith and Jones, The BBC Stand-Up Show, the Alan Davies Show and Alexei Sayle's Stuff. Alan has also appeared in TV drama like Between the Lines, Taggart, Murder Island and Irvine Welsh's Crime on Britbox. He has sustained a successful Theatre career; working in the West End and at The Royal Court, The National Theatre of Scotland, the RSC and a number of regional theatres.
