The best night out in Bassett

RWB Comedy Club is our town's very own comedy night at The Angel Hotel, featuring regular/professional acts from the Comedy Circuit in London and the South. Every few months, we will host a line up of established and newer comedy talent, including acts that have graced the stage of bigger venues like the world famous Comedy Store and have TV and radio credits to their names.

Our launch night in March 2023 at the Angel Hotel was a sell out show. To be sure of being on our mailing list for details of the next show, send us your email now (links at foot of this page)

Our upcoming show is

Thursday, September 5, 2024 in Angel Hotel. Doors open at 18:00:00, show starts at 19:30:00.

Here's what people have been saying about our sell-out show in March 2023

Great to see a sell-out last night. We said it was the best night we've had at The Angel.
Don't make us wait too long for the next one
Brilliant! We loved it.

Who is performing at the next gig?

Ian Murphy

Ian Murphy combines 80's cynicism with a humorous take on today's changing cultures. Hailing from Liverpool, Ian has already made his mark as the Devon Comedian of the Year 2023 and has provided tour support for Emmanuel Sonubi.

Jo Surowiec

Joanna is a Polish import who generously shares her playful, self-deprecating humour with hints of darkness. Her comedy is a combination of one-liners and relatable personal stories we can connect with. Through her observational comedy, she explores the joys and the ridiculousness of being a human in the UK.

Sam Hawkins

Having cut his teeth running and hosting shows around the south west, Sam's playful audience interactions, unshakeable charisma and stories from a disastrously uncoordinated upbringing are sure to dazzle and delight.

President Obonjo

In the age of Trump, populism and Brexit, the world probably doesn't need another bloated ego pretending to give easy solutions. What we need is a comedy character who skewers them with precision, hilarity and who isn't afraid at showing vulnerability. President Obonjo could be that leader, and after sell out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, and his own TV special on ITVX, he is looking to preside over many more great things than his beloved Lafta Republic. .

Please note: On occasion, an act that has been booked and advertised may be unavailable on the night. They will be replaced by an act of equivalent standard.
